Theatre of Varkaus is a human size professional theatre. It has been working here in the heart of Saimaa region continuously since 1913. We produce 4-6 premiers per season and always at least one of them is a musical.
Over 100 years old  theatrehouse has such an unique athmosphere. One can not describe it – it must be  experienced. Hospitability is our second name.

Sing with a local

Our popular Club evenings (Klubi) are open from September to May mainly in the first Wednesday of the month at 19 o´clock.  Themes and performers vary.
In our cosy lobby you can enjoy music and refreshments and sing along. The stage is open for everybody. The host of the evenings is our director Kari Suhonen.
Duration approximately 1,5-2 hours.

Musicals

Our musical of season 2021-2022 is Villit vuodet – Wild years. It tells a story of Vexi Salmi, famous finnish lyricist. Every song you hear is a hit.
